From 27th to 29th of July, we are happy to invite you a workshop on the following materials : earth, water and ceramic at Esperienza Pepe ! We are looking for 5-10 venetian students to participate to this workshop. If you're interested, please send us an application detailing your profile at hello@esperienzapepe.org or lola@encoreheureux.org The ambition of this workshop is to articulate the know-hows around the following materials : earth, water, ceramic and reclaimed elements from the territory. We would work on the construction of a water machine, which would channel water towards blocs of earth formed in wooden frames furrowed with a mosaic pathway. These will be built within the Caserma Pepe, before being assembled on the bank of the Lido. The installation will mimic the erosion phenomenon by exposing the interaction between earth and water. The reclaimed items around the land combined with reclaimed ceramic tesserae will be organized according to the principle of the “opus incertum”, technically meaning random pattern but referring also to the uncertain future of the units affected by the water of the lagoon.
