In 2018 we will be celebrating the 150th Anniversary of one of the greatest Italian opera composers , Rossini.. Gioachino Rossini was a great Italian opera composer, who left an everlasting impression on the successive generations.
There are a variety of important cultural events and a wonderful series of concerts throughout Italy entirely devoted to the music of the Cigno di Pesaro. Here is just one of the performances held in Italy in honour of Rossini:

Witty and sentimental but also at times hair-raisingly cruel, Il Signor Bruschino is the last, and arguably the best, of the one-acters Rossini wrote for the tiny Teatro San Moise in Venice between 1810 and January 1813
