Mostra personale dell'artista: Ros Ford

Ispirata dal disordine, dal trascurato e dalle rappresentazioni della vita, il lavoro di Ros Ford riguarda quelle strutture funzionali che spesso non vengono notate.

Ros Ford è attualmente RE (Royal Society of Painter Printmakers) Visiting Guest artist con borsa della durata di sei settimane presso la Scuola Internazionale di Grafica di Venezia.
La mostra evidenzia la progressione di idee e stampe prodotte nelle prime quattro settimane di residenza con una attenzione particolare alla contrapposizione tra le strutture contemporanee e la città antica e la presenza delle barche da lavoro di Venezia.

L'artista disegnerà la sua Venezia nello spazio della galleria per tutta la durata della mostra. I disegni che svilupperà verranno stampati al suo ritorno a Bristol.

Inspired by the unordered, the overlooked and the sideshows of life, Ros Ford's work is about functional structures that are often unnoticed.

Ros Ford is currently RE (Royal Society of Painter Printmakers) Visiting Guest artist on a six week fellowship at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, Venice. The exhibition shows progression of ideas and prints over the first four weeks of the fellowship, including drawings and etchings, in particular the juxtaposition of contemporary structures alongside the ancient city and working boats of Venice.

She will be working on drawings of Venice in the gallery space for the duration of the exhibition. Drawings which will be developed in to print on her return to Bristol.
